Nani Says Bloody Romeo Has Violence With a Witty Twist, and That Could Be Sujeeth’s Smartest Move Yet

Nani has finally opened up about Bloody Romeo, his upcoming film with OG director Sujeeth. While the actor kept the story under wraps, he gave fans a clear idea of what kind of film to expect: action and violence, but served with a witty twist that he says Telugu cinema has not seen before.

What Exactly Did Nani Say?

Nani made it clear that he cannot reveal much since the shoot is yet to begin. But he did describe the tone of the film in detail.

“I can’t really go into more details because we haven’t started yet, but it also has violence and all of that. It’s not an extremely violent film, but it’s a very theatrical experience, a different kind of film, a very stylish film,” Nani said.

He added that Sujeeth has found a fresh way to present the action. “Violence is there, but Sujeeth came up with a twist to it. It’s extremely witty, and I think it’s an action packed, crazy film. It’s a very good combination and a very unique kind of film.”

Nani also called it a first for Telugu cinema. “There are no films in Telugu in this particular genre, and I’m very excited about the film.”

So What Does “Witty Violence” Really Mean?

Put simply, Bloody Romeo will not be a dark, heavy action drama. The action will be there, but it will come with humour, style and a playful edge. Think of fight scenes that make you smile as much as they make you cheer, and a hero whose attitude is as important as his punches.

The clue was already there in the announcement video. Bloody Romeo was unveiled on Nani’s birthday in February 2026, with a quirky title video that introduced him as a chef who doubles up as a gangster. The makers even teased the film as a “dish” that finally got its name. A chef-gangster is not a character you take too seriously, and that is exactly the point. The mix of a kitchen and a crime world itself sets up the witty tone Nani is talking about.

Why This Matters After The Paradise

The timing of this film makes Nani’s comments even more interesting. His latest release, The Paradise, was a raw and intense action drama that became his biggest grosser but divided audiences over its content. Bloody Romeo looks like a deliberate change of direction. Instead of another rough, gritty film, Nani is choosing something stylish and fun, while still keeping the action that brought him the big openings.

It is also a smart fit for Sujeeth. The director made his name with Run Raja Run, a stylish entertainer with plenty of humour, before moving to large-scale action with Saaho and Pawan Kalyan’s OG. Bloody Romeo seems to bring both sides of Sujeeth together: the fun of Run Raja Run and the style of OG.

Bloody Romeo: What We Know So Far

Bloody Romeo is directed by Sujeeth and produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under Niharika Entertainment, in association with Unanimous Productions. Nani plays a chef-turned-gangster. The film is set to go on floors soon, with major portions planned in London and other parts of the UK. The release date is yet to be announced.

If Sujeeth delivers on this witty action idea, Bloody Romeo could give Nani something he has not had before: a mass action film that audiences enjoy for its fun as much as its fights.
